Anderson expressed enthusiasm about the development. He noted that NVIDIA has been a valued customer and partner for over two decades, particularly since NVIDIA's acquisition of Mellanox. 'NVIDIA has been a great customer and a great partner of ours for over 2 decades through their Mellanox acquisition,' Anderson said. 'And they really are a wonderful customer. We learn a lot from them. We think NVIDIA makes us a better company as we work with them.'
The new agreement marks a significant expansion of their collaboration. It centers on leveraging photonics and optics to advance data center architecture, with a particular emphasis on improving power efficiency. Anderson stated, 'It's all around using photonics and optics to continue to innovate and advance data center architecture, especially around driving better power efficiency in data center architecture. And so we're certainly really excited about that.'
