Necrophosis confirms PS5 and Xbox releases with new DLC

The Lovecraftian horror game Necrophosis, released on PC in April 2025, is expanding to consoles. Developer Dragonis Games has partnered with PQube to release a complete edition including new DLC for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2026. This edition will also arrive on Steam for those without the base game.

Necrophosis, a psychological horror title from Dragonis Games, launched on Steam in April 2025. The game features a surreal landscape with puzzles and a narrative to uncover, blending walking simulator elements with cosmic horror. It has earned a Very Positive rating from players on Steam, who praise its introspective Lovecraftian approach, creative storytelling, and stunning visuals, though many note its brevity at 2-3 hours.

The upcoming Necrophosis: Full Consciousness edition addresses this by including the original game and a new DLC, Necrophosis: Subconsciousness. This expansion adds new environments, entities, and horrors. For existing Steam owners, the DLC will be available standalone. The complete edition is set for release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam sometime in 2026, though exact dates and pricing remain undisclosed.

A physical version exclusive to PS5 will bundle Necrophosis: Full Consciousness with another Dragonis Games title, The Shore. An announcement trailer showcases the DLC and console ports, while a dedicated DLC trailer is scheduled for March 2 at 1:15 PM ET on the Dragonis Games YouTube channel.

The base Necrophosis is currently available on Steam for $15.99, allowing players to experience the core game ahead of the expansions.
