Biminister Claudio Alvarado said the government will respect the investigative commission approved by the Chamber of Deputies on former minister Trinidad Steinert's management.
Alvarado spoke Tuesday about the commission's approval, pushed by the opposition, which secured the required quorum.
The minister said the executive respects Congress's powers. “We are always respectful of the decisions made in the National Congress,” he stated.
He expressed doubts about the commission's purpose. He noted that questions about Steinert's management had already been clarified after her resignation.
The commission will define its membership and work schedule in the coming weeks.
