On March 2, 2018 (Fana Broadcasting Corporate), the Amhara region's revenue office announced that revenue is being collected in the proper manner to ensure the public's participation in development.
Office head Mengesha Fentaw (Dr.) stated that the revenue generated in the region is being collected appropriately to address the public's development needs transparently. For the 2018 budget year, 100 billion birr from various sectors has been targeted for collection.
To date, 50 billion birr has been collected, achieving 50 percent of the goal. The electronic tax administration system has been put into practice, allowing taxpayers to make payments conveniently.
All concerned stakeholders have been called upon to work diligently in the coming months to meet the targeted revenue. This effort supports the region's development programs.
