The BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational kicked off on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Boston University's Track and Tennis Center, featuring men's events from multiple collegiate teams. Fordham's Rams began with the 60-meter hurdles, where Menzel Thomas placed 14th in 8.68 seconds and James Alati 15th in 8.72 seconds. In the 60-meter dash invitational, C.J. Weddington finished 12th at 7.06 seconds, while Liam Volz was 21st at 7.18 seconds; Volz also ran 40th in the 200-meter dash with 22.31 seconds.
Sam Freeman competed in both the 200 and 400 meters, achieving a season-best 21.60 seconds for 10th in the 200 and 48.48 seconds for 21st in the 400. The 800 meters saw Ben Borchers lead Fordham at 1:54.57 for 72nd, followed by Eben Tyre at 1:57.33 (116th) and Matthew Febles at 1:58.47 (135th). In the 1,000 meters, John Corrigan posted a season-best 2:26.99 for 20th, with Darren Croke at 2:31.35 (50th) and Trevor Rinn at 2:39.81 (68th). The mile featured Sean Reidy's season-best 4:07.58 (105th) and Eric Schleif's 4:23.20 (272nd).
Field events included Kenan Andrews jumping 21 feet 7.5 inches for sixth in the long jump and Patrick Torres clearing 5 feet 10.75 inches for fourth in the high jump.
Marist's Red Foxes highlighted the 800 meters, with Miles Chamberlain running a personal-best 1:54.19 (65th), including splits of 28.07, 28.44, 28.58, and 29.11 seconds. Sean Wilson and Matthew Ferreri both hit 1:57.61 for season and indoor bests, respectively, while Dante Melfi won his heat with a personal-best 1:58.47. Marcel Stewart set a personal best of 51.94 in the 400 meters (104th), Christopher Lynch ran 8.87 in the 60-meter hurdles (16th), and Ramsey Heredia leaped 6.59 meters (21 feet 7.5 inches) for fifth in the long jump, a season best.
Providence's Friars had Elliott Pugh run 3:59.60 in the mile. The meet continues on Saturday with women's events, as Fordham's women also compete.
