Google has unveiled the Pixel 10A, a budget-friendly addition to its Pixel 10 lineup priced at $499. The device offers incremental upgrades over the previous Pixel 9A, including faster charging and new safety features, while maintaining core specs like the Tensor G4 processor. Pre-orders begin today, with availability starting March 5.
Google introduced the Pixel 10A on February 18, 2026, positioning it as an affordable entry in the Pixel 10 series. Starting at $499 for the 128GB model and $599 for 256GB, the phone targets value-conscious buyers seeking Google's camera expertise without flagship costs.
The Pixel 10A closely mirrors the Pixel 9A in design and internals, featuring a 6.3-inch OLED display with 2,424 x 1,080 resolution, 60-120Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits peak brightness, and a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. It measures 6.1 by 2.9 by 0.4 inches and includes an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The rear camera module is completely flat, flush with the back panel, and the phone incorporates recycled materials: 100% for the aluminum frame, 81% for the plastic back, and 36% of total weight from recycled components like gold, tungsten, cobalt, and copper. A physical SIM slot remains, unlike the Pixel 10 series.
Powered by the Tensor G4 chip with 8GB RAM, the device supports Android 16 out of the box and promises seven years of OS and security updates. The 5,100mAh battery delivers over 30 hours of use, extending to 120 hours in Extreme Battery Saver mode, with 30W wired charging reaching 50% in about 30 minutes and 10W wireless charging. Connectivity upgrades include Bluetooth 6 for lower latency and power efficiency, plus Wi-Fi 6E and NFC.
Cameras consist of a 48-megapixel wide and 13-megapixel ultrawide rear setup, paired with a 13-megapixel front camera. New AI features ported from flagships include Camera Coach for composition tips, Auto Best Take for optimal group expressions, Add Me for post-shot inclusion, and Macro Focus for close-ups. Satellite SOS enables emergency messaging via satellite when cellular service is unavailable.
Google cites budget constraints for retaining the Tensor G4 over the newer G5 and omitting Pixelsnap magnetic compatibility, though third-party cases can add it. Available in Lavender, Fog, Obsidian, and Berry, the Pixel 10A emphasizes sustainability and reliability for everyday use.
