방위사업청은 26일 무장 시험을 성공적으로 마친 해병대 공격헬기가 개발 마지막 단계에 들어섰다고 밝혔다.
방위사업청은 이날 터렛 장착 기관총과 공대지 미사일, 유도 및 무유도 로켓 등 주요 무장 시험을 완료했다고 전했다. 특히 최근 공대공 미사일 실사격 시험까지 성공했다.
이 헬기는 2022년 10월 시작된 사업으로 다차원 상륙작전을 지원하기 위해 개발 중이다. 시제기는 2024년 12월 첫 비행을 마쳤다.
완료 후 2027년부터 양산에 들어갈 예정이다. 배치되면 MUH-1 마리온 헬기를 호위하고 지상군을 지원하는 역할을 맡는다.
