Nintendo has revealed new gameplay footage for two exclusive Nintendo Switch 2 titles during its Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentations. Super Mario Bros. Nintendo's recent Nintendo Treehouse: Live presentations featured gameplay demonstrations for Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park and Pokémon Pokopia, both exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 platform.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park is scheduled for release on March 26. This version builds on the original side-scrolling adventure where players navigate the Flower Kingdom to confront Bowser, Bowser Jr., and the seven Koopalings. Key additions include improved performance, new playable characters, a fresh power-up, and the Bellabel Park area. It supports both solo and cooperative multiplayer gameplay. Owners of the original Nintendo Switch version can access the new content via a $19.99 upgrade pack, which requires the base game.
Pokémon Pokopia launches on March 5 at a price of $69.99. In this title, players control a Ditto transformed into a human, focusing on building relationships with Pokémon, creating a personal home, and developing a shared town. Assisted by Professor Tangrowth, players collect resources to foster a community for Pokémon residents. The game includes local wireless and online multiplayer, with online features needing a Nintendo Switch Online membership and Nintendo Account; regional availability may vary. A GameShare option lets the Nintendo Switch 2 host invite non-owners to sessions on either Nintendo Switch 2 or original Switch systems, limited to the session duration.
These showcases emphasize Nintendo's efforts to utilize the Switch 2's hardware for better visuals, expanded content, and social play experiences ahead of the early launches.
