Soybean harvest to contribute over 21.4 billion dollars in exports

The soybean campaign reached 50.1 million tons, the second best in five years despite a smaller planted area, and will generate strong foreign exchange inflows for Argentina.

Luis Machado, a journalist specialized in the agricultural sector, explained that soybean production reached 50.1 million tons. This figure ranks as the second best harvest in the last five years.

The specialist indicated that the soybean complex will contribute 19 billion dollars in product and 21.4 billion dollars in exports. He also noted that export duties will generate additional fiscal resources.

Machado pointed out that producers manage sales through silo bags to dose them according to price opportunities and expense needs. Soybean prices showed a recent increase driven by geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East.
