For the first time, a fully electric vehicle, the BYD Dolphin Mini, topped retail sales in Brazil in February 2026, with over 4,000 units sold. This milestone signals a shift in the automotive market, long dominated by combustion engines. BYD has sold more than 62,000 units of the model since its entry into the country.
