Black Ops 2 players urge others to stop voting Nuketown

Players of the recent PlayStation ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 have expressed frustration over repeated votes for a small set of popular maps. Many lobbies see consistent selections of Nuketown, Raid, and Hijacked, prompting complaints on social media and forums.

Activision released PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 earlier this month. The ports have drawn strong interest despite requiring payment for DLC.

Estimates from player reports suggest roughly 90 percent of matches occur on just three maps. Nuketown, introduced in the original Black Ops, remains a frequent choice alongside Raid and Hijacked.

One player posted on the Black Ops 2 subreddit that they are tired of Nuketown every game. Another on the main Call of Duty subreddit noted that lobbies often back out if less popular maps are selected, limiting play to maps like Studio or Uplink.

Some users recommend the dedicated NukeJacked playlist, though others avoid it due to its inclusion of hardcore modes and 9v9 formats. Similar voting patterns occurred during the game's original 2012 release.
