Nike debuts futuristic women's First Sight sneaker collection

Nike has introduced the First Sight Collection, featuring three new women's silhouettes that blend sport, fashion, and futuristic design. The lineup includes the Noir, Mirage, and Shadow models, each drawing inspiration from athletic influences reimagined for lifestyle footwear. The Noir will launch first in March 2026.

Nike's First Sight Collection represents a new venture into experimental women's footwear, combining elements of sport with sculptural and fashion-forward aesthetics. The collection comprises three original silhouettes: Noir, Mirage, and Shadow, each designed to merge dress shoe sophistication with specific athletic cues, aiming to appeal to modern female athletes and those seeking bold self-expression.

The Noir leads the debut as a sleek wedge inspired by track sprints. It features a forward-leaning point, monochrome suede construction, and a large Swoosh across the toe. Its midsole includes an aggressive profile with a split heel creating an open rear cavity, emphasizing a futuristic form over traditional trainer designs. According to the design brief, the goal was to create shoes that make women fall in love at first sight. Thomasin Hummerstone, Senior Director of Energy Footwear at Nike, stated, “These shoes were truly made from scratch, with our designers gathering insights from around the world to create new art forms that speak to today’s female athlete. Each silhouette is inspired by sport, infused with Nike-only energy, and crafted for women who want to push the boundaries of self-expression.”

The Mirage blends a soccer cleat with an Oxford boot, incorporating foam spikes on the outsole for added height and subtle styling from soccer influences on the upper. The Shadow is a slip-on model drawing from Nike's early-2000s Foamposite basketball shoes, featuring tight lines, sculpted angles, and bubbling accents.

The Noir is scheduled for release on March 20, 2026, via Nike SNKRS and select retailers, priced at $125 in women's sizing. Mirage and Shadow will follow later in 2026 at $170 and $145, respectively. One report lists an earlier date of March 4, 2026, for the Noir, though details align across sources on the overall rollout.
