Trop rock charity fundraiser scheduled for March 27-29 in Pensacola

Gary’s Brewery & Biergarten will host the main event of a Trop Rock charity fundraiser from March 27 to 29. The event supports independent musicians through the Trop Rock Music Assn. Artists Relief Foundation. House concerts and additional activities are planned over the weekend.

The Trop Rock Music Assn. Artists Relief Foundation is organizing a charity fundraiser from March 27 to 29, with the primary concert on Saturday at Gary’s Brewery & Biergarten in Pensacola. The venue is located at 208 Newman Ave., near Gulf Beach Highway, and the event begins at noon.

Friday features a house concert with Dave Freeman starting at 6 p.m. on Innerarity Point, as part of the Concerts on Canal series. Sunday includes a performance by Wes Loper at noon in the same location, followed by brunch prepared by Chef Josh from The Breakfast Club.

Saturday’s lineup at Gary’s includes musicians such as Wes Loper, Justin Colvard, and Bob Durand from Gulf Shores; Danny Rosado from Pensacola; Greg Mihaly from Pensacola Beach; Reggie Starrett from Jacksonville; Dave Freeman from New Port Richey; David Baker from Missouri; and the Jonas Lorence Band from Texas. A food truck will be available during the main event.

Admission to all concerts is free, though donations are encouraged. The weekend will also feature raffles and auctions to raise funds. Organizer Glenn Atwell of Harbour Island Rocks has hosted similar events for four years, collectively raising over $25,000 to aid independent singers, songwriters, and musicians during times of need.
