Precipitation accumulations of 30 to 60 mm are expected, which could be exceeded locally.
The affected provinces are Tierra del Fuego, Río Negro, southern La Pampa, Corrientes, Misiones, Chaco, Formosa, Tucumán, Salta, Jujuy, and Santiago del Estero. In the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA), Monday will start with partly cloudy skies, increasing cloudiness in the afternoon and evening, with minimum temperatures of 19°C and maximums of 25°C.
Additionally, a yellow alert for storms was reported for Misiones on Sunday, March 8, focused on specific areas of the province. The extended forecast for the AMBA indicates mostly stable conditions during the week, with minimums between 18°C and 21°C, maximums from 24°C to 28°C, variable cloudiness, and low probabilities of rain, though Thursday may show greater instability with very low chance of precipitation.
The SMN recommended avoiding going out during peak storm intensity, not taking out trash, cleaning drains, unplugging appliances if water enters, closing doors and windows, securing loose objects, seeking shelter in buildings or vehicles if outdoors, staying in enclosed structures, and avoiding flood-prone areas.
