AAP outlines next steps with mega rally for Kejriwal

Following Arvind Kejriwal's acquittal, the Aam Aadmi Party is gearing up for a stronger national presence. AAP Delhi chief Saurabh Bhardwaj stated that the party will hold a mega rally at Jantar Mantar on March 1. Supporters, doctors from Mohalla Clinics, and 10,000 bus marshals who lost their jobs will participate.

Describing Arvind Kejriwal's court acquittal as a historic verdict, AAP Delhi chief Saurabh Bhardwaj discussed the party's upcoming plans in an interview. He announced a mega rally at Jantar Mantar on March 1, expecting large crowds of supporters. Doctors and nurses removed from Mohalla Clinics, along with 10,000 bus marshals who lost their jobs, will join wearing their uniforms. Kejriwal and senior leader Manish Sisodia will address their concerns. Bhardwaj noted, 'Arvind ji has fought many battles for them.'

Kejriwal had chosen to remain silent until proven innocent by the court. Bhardwaj indicated that Kejriwal will now be more active in national politics. With Delhi polls still distant, the focus shifts nationally. He remarked that Delhi CM Rekha Gupta faces a huge challenge in handling issues previously raised by AAP. Kejriwal will convene with his team to outline a roadmap for states approaching elections.

The verdict will boost the morale of party cadres significantly. Highlighting Kejriwal's integrity, Bhardwaj pointed out his background as an IRS officer and IITian, yet he endured jail for the people. He claimed the BJP conspired to dent Kejriwal's credibility, but the outcome has enhanced his larger-than-life image. Since February 21, the party has been conducting 50-60 meetings at the mandal level across the city, set to continue for a month. These gatherings will now also inform people about the acquittal.
