Fathom Entertainment announces 2026 Big Screen Classics series

Fathom Entertainment has revealed its lineup for the 2026 Big Screen Classics film series, featuring rereleases of several iconic movies. The series includes classics like Citizen Kane and Ocean’s Eleven, returning to theaters nationwide in March. Film historian Leonard Maltin will provide introductions for the screenings.

Fathom Entertainment, a specialty distributor to theatrical partners worldwide, announced its annual Big Screen Classics film series for 2026. The slate comprises landmark anniversary screenings and all-time cinematic favorites that span 87 years of Hollywood history. The lineup offers a diverse range of genres and will return to theaters across the nation starting in March.

The selected films include “Citizen Kane,” “Ocean’s Eleven,” “Silence of the Lambs,” “Gone With the Wind,” and “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Additional titles are “Ben-Hur,” “Fried Green Tomatoes,” “The Birdcage,” “The Fifth Element,” “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory,” “A Beautiful Mind,” and “The Maltese Falcon.”

The announcement came from Fathom CEO Ray Nutt, who emphasized the importance of such rereleases. “Classic and popular re-releases are an important theatrical programming category, and the curated movies Fathom Entertainment brings to the big screen continue to be embraced by filmgoers of all ages,” Nutt said. He added that the 2026 slate is “filled with anniversary celebrations from some of the greatest cinematic masterpieces of all time and showcases a wide breadth of iconic hits and award-winning films.” Nutt also expressed enthusiasm for Leonard Maltin’s return, noting that Maltin will offer exclusive introductions to highlight each film’s legacy.

Maltin, a longtime instructor at the USC School of Cinematic Arts and co-host of the podcast “Maltin on Movies” with his daughter Jessie, is entering his fourth year with the series.

Tickets for the screenings are now available at Fathom Entertainment and participating theater box offices.
