Qatar Open sets prize money and entry list for 2026 edition

The 2026 Qatar ExxonMobil Open has announced a total prize money of $2,833,335, with Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner leading a strong field despite Novak Djokovic's withdrawal due to fatigue. The ATP 500 event, upgraded in 2025, will run from February 16 to 21 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha. Andrey Rublev, the defending champion, is among former winners set to compete.

The Qatar ExxonMobil Open, marking its 34th edition since debuting in 1993, has confirmed its details for 2026. This ATP 500 tournament on outdoor hard courts features a singles draw of 32 players over five rounds, with no first-round byes. Qualifying rounds are scheduled for February 14-15, followed by the main draw from February 16-21.

The entry list includes eight top-20 players, four of them in the top 10: Carlos Alcaraz (ranked 1), Jannik Sinner (2), Felix Auger-Aliassime (3), and Alexander Bublik (4). Other notable entrants are Daniil Medvedev (5), Andrey Rublev (6), Jakub Mensik (7), and Karen Khachanov (8), along with Jiri Lehecka, Denis Shapovalov, Tomas Machac, and others. Shang Juncheng enters using a protected ranking after an injury-affected 2025, currently ranked 259th. The tournament anticipates at least three main-draw wildcards and four qualifier spots.

Novak Djokovic, who had signed up, withdrew on February 11, citing "strong fatigue." The tournament issued a statement: "Novak Djokovic is pulling out from Doha due to strong fatigue. Qatar will miss you. Wishing you a speedy recovery."

Former champions competing include Rublev (2020 and 2025, when he beat Jack Draper in the final), Medvedev (2023), and Khachanov (2024). Points on offer are 500 for the winner, 330 for the finalist, 200 for semifinalists, 100 for quarterfinalists, and 50 for second-round exits, with zero for first-round losses.

Prize money totals $2,833,335, with the singles champion earning $529,945 and the winning doubles team splitting $174,050. Full breakdowns for singles and doubles are available on the ATP Tour website.
