Tim Tebow releases new book 'If the Tree Could Speak'

Tim Tebow has released a new gift book titled 'If the Tree Could Speak,' which narrates the story of Jesus' crucifixion from the perspective of the cross. The book features illustrations by Rommel Ruiz and poetry by Tebow and Wyatt Edwards, and is available now through Thomas Nelson Gift at major retailers. Timed for Easter, it aims to help readers rediscover the significance of the event.

Tim Tebow, a six-time New York Times best-selling author, two-time national champion, Heisman Trophy winner, speaker, entrepreneur, and College Football Hall of Fame inductee, has published his latest book, If the Tree Could Speak, via Thomas Nelson Gift, an imprint of HarperCollins Christian Publishing. The release occurred on February 24, with the book arriving in time for Easter.

The illustrated gift book combines artwork by Rommel Ruiz with poetry written by Tebow and Wyatt Edwards. It presents the narrative of Jesus' death through the viewpoint of the cross, tracing its origins from a tree seed, through harvesting and shaping into an instrument of torture, to its role in the Crucifixion. The story depicts the cross witnessing Jesus being mocked, condemned, and nailed, while grappling with the transformation from an innocent tree to a symbol of sacrifice.

Tebow explains the book's intent in a statement: "This little book is my attempt to apply (Luke 19:40) creatively to the cross. Of course, the wood is only an object. But sometimes, we need unexpected voices to help us rediscover a truth we may have heard many times before."

The publication seeks to move beyond the cross as a familiar symbol in jewelry or art, emphasizing its representation of God's sacrifice and inviting families to reflect on Easter's meaning. It aligns with Tebow's mission through the Tim Tebow Foundation, established in 2010, which addresses anti-human trafficking, orphan care, medical needs, and special needs ministry in over 115 countries, promoting faith, hope, and love.

This addition joins Tebow's bibliography, including his recent New York Times bestseller Look Again, as well as Through My Eyes, Shaken, and This is the Day. Tebow, married to Demi-Leigh Tebow (Miss Universe 2017), resides in Jacksonville, Florida, with their daughter Daphne Reign Tebow and dogs Chunk and Kobe.
