Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced sells 2 million copies on launch day

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced sold two million copies on its launch day. Ubisoft highlighted the strong start and noted record player numbers on Steam.

The game launched on 9 July and quickly became the top-ranked title on Twitch. It reached a concurrent peak of 99,451 players on Steam, the highest for any Assassin's Creed game on the platform.

Ubisoft said it expects sales momentum to continue as more players access the title worldwide. The publisher also shared that the game had generated roughly $14 million in gross revenue before release.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is set in the Golden Age of Piracy and follows Edward Kenway. It is available on PC through Steam, Steam Deck, Epic Games Store and Ubisoft+, as well as on PS5 and Xbox Series.

Some players have raised concerns about cosmetic microtransactions appearing in the single-player experience.
