Actor Babu Santana was the eighth eliminated from BBB 26 on Tuesday night, March 10, 2026. In an interview on Bate-Papo BBB, he contradicted himself about rivalries in the house and was accused of ignoring presenter Ceci Ribeiro. He also revealed feelings about his relationship with sister Chaiany.
Babu Santana, an actor known for roles in soap operas and films, left BBB 26 after weeks of conflicts, particularly with participant Ana Paula Renault, the favorite for the prize. His elimination took place on March 10, 2026, marking the eighth departure of the season.
In Bate-Papo BBB, hosted by Gil do Vigor and Ceci Ribeiro, Babu addressed the fights with Ana Paula. He reiterated comments about her friendship with Milena, describing it as a 'point of view' and questioning behaviors like not washing items at home while another cleaned. 'You don't think she also went a bit overboard? That's what I was questioning Gil, sorry […] I questioned many things. It's a person who starts the game saying she doesn't wash her panties or even a spoon at home. And then there's someone there washing, cooking, cleaning. Suddenly, the person starts washing clothes, washing dishes,' he said.
Babu denied racist insinuations, stating: 'The big difference is that I didn't bring a racial issue. I brought a thing of phenotypes'. Regarding a suggestion to hide under covers to avoid aggression from Ana Paula, he contradicted himself, initially denying intent to provoke her expulsion, but admitting he wouldn't mind her leaving: 'If she tries to put her hand on you, it's aggression'.
The interview sparked criticism on social media. A clip with over 590,000 views showed Babu ignoring an interruption from Ceci and addressing only Gil, leading to accusations of disrespect. Despite this, he answered her other questions.
Babu also spoke about Chaiany, revealing their relationship started paternal but evolved: 'At the beginning it was a paternal relationship… And then I said: 'Dude, it's not paternal'. We would joke with each other, but in my head it wouldn't go beyond jokes'. Chaiany's team had criticized his jokes days earlier, on March 7, highlighting unwanted touches and her discomfort, questioning: 'Until when will situations like this continue to be treated as 'jokes' and simply televised?'. Internet users supported Chaiany and called for production intervention.
In the end, Babu wished victory to Chaiany and joked with Ana Paula: 'Ana Paula, I want you to go to… No, I'm kidding. I want you to be happy there in São Paulo. And I'll be very happy, far away from you, here in Rio'.
