NCC inaugurates rifle firing simulator at AITAM

A .22 calibre rifle firing simulator was inaugurated at the Aditya Institute of Technology and Management near Tekkali on Friday.

Group Commander of NCC Visakhapatnam Group, Commodore Sumanth Roy, performed the inauguration. The simulator is intended to help cadets improve their firing techniques and shooting skills.

Commodore Roy later interacted with district-level NCC cadets. He highlighted how the NCC builds discipline, leadership and a spirit of national service among youth. He also noted avenues it provides in employment, higher education and career advancement.

He explained quotas and weightage given to holders of ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificates for recruitment in the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces, state police departments and other government positions. AITAM Director V.V. Nageswara Rao, Principal A.S. Srinivasa Rao, 14 Andhra Battalion Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Shashank Kushwaha and NCC Coordinator D. Vishnu Murthy attended the event.
