As part of Japan's ongoing operation to evacuate nationals and others from the Middle East amid the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran—initially announced on March 5—the fifth chartered flight arrived at Haneda Airport from Oman's capital Muscat on Friday morning. Combined with the previous four flights, 822 people have now been evacuated using these services. A sixth flight is set to depart from Riyadh on Friday, after which the operation is expected to conclude for those wishing to return to Japan.
