Four in ten agencies reported sales growth during the World Cup

An ANATO survey revealed that 34.6% of travel agencies in Colombia recorded some increase in sales to the United States, Mexico and Canada driven by the 2026 Football World Cup.

ANATO's quarterly survey for the second quarter of 2026 showed that the vacation segment accounted for 72.2% of sales, followed by the corporate segment at 18.1% and meetings tourism at 9.6%.

Paula Cortés Calle, executive president of the guild, noted that the results reflect Colombian travelers' search for complete experiences.

International packages reached 31.3% of sales, national ones 26.4% and individual services 21.8%. Sun and beach destinations led with 29.9%.

Virtual channels surpassed in-person ones by reaching 53.4% of sales, according to the report published on July 23, 2026.
