Jonathan Andic's defense appeals the one million euro bail

Jonathan Andic's defense has filed an appeal before the Barcelona Court against the provisional prison order with one million euro bail issued by the Martorell judge.

The appeal, led by lawyer Cristóbal Martell, rebuts one by one the homicide indications pointed out by the judge in the death of Isak Andic, founder of Mango, which occurred on December 14, 2024, after a fall on the Camí de les Feixades de Montserrat.

The defense denies the son's active participation and highlights police and forensic reports concluding that the causes of the fall or the involvement of third parties cannot be determined. It notes that the deceased suffered bilateral gonarthrosis in his knees, which explains a more vertical fall, and provides video of a prior fall by Isak Andic.

The filing criticizes police leaks that allegedly led to an anticipated social condemnation and the May 19 detention, which it deems unnecessary. Jonathan Andic has already paid the bail and announced he is temporarily leaving Mango's vice presidency to focus on his defense.
