KURA confirms dualling of Magadi Road

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority has assured residents that the dualling of Magadi Road remains on course after completing interim traffic works at Galleria.

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority has confirmed that plans to dual the Magadi Road are still in place. The authority described recent works at Galleria as a temporary step to reduce congestion.

President William Ruto announced the project in June during a fundraiser in Kiserian. He directed the Ministry of Roads and Transport to fund the upgrade through the National Infrastructure Fund.

The approximately 20-kilometre road links Ong'ata Rongai and Kiserian to Langata Road. Feasibility studies are already underway to support construction.
