Mamata Banerjee alleged that the BJP pressured hospitals not to admit or to discharge Abhishek Banerjee after he was attacked in Sonarpur.
Mamata Banerjee said in a press conference that Abhishek Banerjee was kept in the ITU where doctors performed 3D CT scans and other tests. She claimed the BJP and police threatened hospital authorities leading to his discharge.
She stated that blood clots had formed in his body and that he would have died on the spot without a helmet. His treatment will now continue at home under family doctors.
Mamata Banerjee mentioned calls from Rahul Gandhi Akhilesh Yadav and Kapil Sibal expressing concern. TMC announced a protest in Kolkata on Monday.
