The Concachampions 2026, or Concacaf Champions Cup, brings together 27 clubs from North America, Central America and the Caribbean in a single-elimination tournament. In the first round, 22 teams compete in home-and-away ties, while five advance directly to the round of 16: Deportivo Toluca FC, Seattle Sounders FC, LD Alajuelense, Mount Pleasant FA and Inter Miami CF. The final will be a single match on May 30, 2026.
The return legs for Mexican teams are held in Mexico. On February 10, Pumas UNAM hosts San Diego FC at Estadio Olímpico Universitario after a 1-4 first-leg loss. San Diego's midfielder Aníbal Godoy stated: “Más allá de lo físico, la mente juega mucho en estos partidos, así que si estamos fuertes en mentalidad, como lo hicimos en la ida, vamos a sacar la eliminatoria a nuestro favor”. Coach Mikey Varas added: “La altura es un desafío singular, pero estamos preparados a nivel físico y táctico para lograr avanzar. Debemos estar atentos porque este juego no tiene nada que ver con el de la semana pasada; empezamos desde cero”. The winner faces Toluca in the round of 16.
That same day, Tigres UANL plays Forge FC at Estadio Universitario, following a 0-0 draw in the first leg in Canada under sub-zero temperatures.
On February 11, Club América defends its 2-1 lead over Olimpia at Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes. André Jardine's team features players like Henry Martín and Víctor Dávila, while Olimpia has Edrick Menjívar and Edwin Rodríguez.
Monterrey hosts Xelajú MC at Estadio BBVA after a 1-1 draw in Guatemala, with Jesús Corona's added-time goal. Xelajú coach Roberto Hernández remarked: “Ningún equipo es invencible; estamos motivados”.
On February 12, Cruz Azul faces Vancouver FC at Estadio Cuauhtémoc with a 3-0 advantage, goals from José Paradela, Amaury Morales and Agustín Palavecino. The winners of Monterrey-Xelajú and Cruz Azul-Vancouver will meet in the round of 16.
