A Karnataka Lokayukta police team faced nearly three hours of difficulty entering the residence of M.C. Satyanarayana, an executive engineer with the Hassan City Corporation, during a raid in Hassan on March 5. The team arrived at the house around 5:30 a.m. but found the entrance locked and received no response from inside. They finally gained access around 8:30 a.m.
