Breeze Airways, founded by David Neeleman, announced expansions to its network on February 24, 2026, targeting smaller and mid-sized airports across the United States. The low-cost carrier, known for its Airbus A220-300 fleet, introduced new nonstop routes from several locations, emphasizing convenience and affordability for leisure and business travelers.
Key additions include nonstop flights from Tallahassee International Airport to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, operating Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays starting July 2, 2026, with one-way fares from $39. Similar routes launch from Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport to the same destinations on Mondays and Fridays beginning July 3, at $59 to Fort Lauderdale and $49 to Raleigh-Durham. From Jacksonville International Airport, daily nonstops to Fort Lauderdale start July 1 for $49.
Other new services feature nonstop flights from Pittsburgh International Airport to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Mondays and Fridays from July 3, and from Myrtle Beach to Pittsburgh on the same schedule. Myrtle Beach also gains one-stop BreezeThru service to Portland, Maine, starting July 2. From Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, seasonal nonstops to Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Portland, Maine, begin July 3 on Mondays and Fridays, with fares from $49 and $79 respectively. Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport adds nonstops to Cincinnati, Ohio, on Mondays and Fridays from July 3, and to Fort Lauderdale on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays from July 2.
Existing routes see increases, such as Myrtle Beach to Akron-Canton becoming daily from July 1, and to Fort Lauderdale six times weekly. Neeleman stated, “The addition of these new cities and routes will give even more travelers the opportunity to save precious hours that would otherwise be spent flying through hubs or driving.” Local officials, including Birmingham Airport Authority Board Chair Ashby Pate, welcomed the moves for boosting connectivity and economic activity.
