Nubank sponsors Inter Miami and renames its stadium as Nu Stadium

Nubank announced a principal sponsorship with Inter Miami, the champion of the US soccer league, featuring its brand on team jerseys and renaming the stadium as Nu Stadium. This move is part of the company's strategy to expand in the US market. The stadium, with a capacity of 26,700 spectators, is set to open on April 4, 2026, at Miami Freedom Park.

The sponsorship announcement was made on March 4, highlighting Nubank's role with the popular team featuring Lionel Messi. The Brazilian digital banking brand, founded by Colombian David Vélez Osorno in 2013, aims to bolster its presence in the United States through this partnership.

Nu Stadium will be part of the Miami Freedom Park development, one of the country's most significant sports projects. With a capacity for 26,700 people, the venue will host not only Inter Miami matches but also concerts, corporate events, and additional sports activities. It features exclusive spaces such as a hospitality lounge for 770 guests with a view of the players' tunnel and a plaza for various events, enabling year-round use.

Cristina Junqueira, co-founder and CEO of Nu in the United States, stated: “The Nu Stadium will anchor our brand in the US, allowing us to connect with an international and diverse community while building the world's most influential consumer technology platform”.

This is not Nubank's only venture into sports. Since 2024, the company has sponsored a cycling team that has secured victories in races such as the Jamaica classic, the Vuelta Bantrab in Guatemala, and the Tour de Guadalupe. In 2025, Colombian cyclist Rodrigo Contreras won the Vuelta a Colombia wearing the Nu jersey.

Financially, Nu Holdings reported a net profit of US$2.900 million in 2025, a 51% year-over-year increase, with revenues of US$16.300 million, up 45% from the previous year.
