Police are responding to a cash-in-transit heist on the N3 westbound near Sherwood off-ramp in Durban. Two security guards were injured during the incident. Suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and firearms.

KwaZulu-Natal Police Spokesperson Thenjiswa Ngcobo said police are searching for 13 suspects. The group accosted a cash-in-transit vehicle and took firearms from the guards before escaping.
Two security guards sustained injuries and are receiving treatment. The amount of cash stolen remains undisclosed.
