The 70-metre superyacht Sherakhan, available for charter through Y.CO, is highlighted for its adventurous capabilities, including a planned expedition to Antarctica. Built in 1966 and refitted in 2017, the vessel accommodates up to 26 guests in 13 cabins. A special all-inclusive per-cabin option for the December trip is priced at €62,500.
Sherakhan, a 69.6-metre yacht constructed by Scheepswerf A.Vuyk & Zonen in the Netherlands, has circumnavigated the globe multiple times since its launch in 1966. Following an extensive refit in 2017, it now measures 1,945 gross tonnes and serves as a versatile platform for luxury charters, with a weekly rate starting from €595,000.
The yacht's design emphasizes exploration and comfort, featuring a seven-metre-high atrium as its central hub. This space includes a chandelier, a 26-seat dining table, and views of an 18-person glass-bottomed Jacuzzi on the deck above. Interiors blend light woods and a white palette with global curios, such as a freestanding globe, olive-wood chairs, and first-edition books dedicated to each of the 13 cabins.
Accommodation comprises seven double cabins, two convertibles, and four twins, with options for interconnecting suites suitable for families or events. The master suite offers a private terrace and central Jacuzzi, while another king-size suite and a flexible double cabin are on the same deck.
For adventure seekers, Sherakhan partners with EYOS and Story Creators for an Antarctic expedition from December 13 to 20. This all-inclusive per-cabin charter, at €62,500, includes a flight from Punta Arenas to avoid the Drake Passage. On board, guests can access a 2022-equipped gym, a spa with sauna and massage area, and toys like kayaks, Seabobs, and wakeboards.
Deck areas support large gatherings, with al fresco dining, sun loungers, hammocks, and a BBQ setup on the sundeck. The yacht is equipped for parties, including a Pioneer DJ deck and professional lighting.
