Julien's Auctions announces Gwyneth Paltrow collection sale

Julien's Auctions has revealed plans for a major auction featuring items from Gwyneth Paltrow's personal collection, combined with archival fashion pieces. The event, titled Bold Luxury: Gwyneth Paltrow Lexicon of Style & The Archival Edit, is set for March 24 and 25, 2026, at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. A portion of proceeds will support World Central Kitchen.

Julien's Auctions is expanding its Bold Luxury series with a new event that includes home and furniture items for the first time, moving beyond its previous focus on fashion and celebrity artifacts. This auction highlights Gwyneth Paltrow's influence on modern style since the mid-1990s, drawing from her affinity for designers like Valentino, Versace, John Galliano for Dior, and Giorgio Armani, as well as her goop brand. Paltrow curated selections from her own life, emphasizing pieces with personal history. She stated, 'I believe in the quiet beauty of objects that have lived a life before us - in the meaning that gathers over time, and in the way a story can continue when something passes into new hands. With this spirit of nostalgia and renewal, I've curated a selection of pieces from my own life, hoping they'll carry their history forward and take on new meaning for those who receive them.' The sale also incorporates exceptional archival items from prestigious design houses, reflecting a trend toward lifestyle-led collecting. Martin Nolan, co-founder and executive director of Julien's, noted, 'Bold Luxury is an invitation to own the cultural markers that bridge high fashion and high-end living. Gwyneth Paltrow defines modern luxury through a lens of elegant and curated design. From the red carpet to the living room, her aesthetic is pure influence. By merging couture with interiors, Julien's is meeting the demand for lifestyle-led collecting where every piece tells a story.' Key lots include a 2010 Atelier Versace gown worn by Paltrow on the red carpet for Country Strong, estimated at $4,000-$6,000, and a 2013 Giorgio Armani Privé ensemble from Iron Man 3, estimated at $2,000-$3,000. Furniture highlights feature a pair of modern Jean Royère-style polar bear chairs, estimated at $6,000-$8,000, and a Lindsey Adelman nine-globe branching bubble chandelier, estimated at $8,000-$10,000. Archival fashion pieces encompass a 2005 Hermès 35 cm Birkin bag in Clemence leather, estimated at $15,000-$25,000, and various Givenchy and Jean Paul Gaultier items. Online bidding opens February 25, 2026, with the live auction starting at 10 a.m. PT each day. Paltrow added, 'I'm deeply honored that a generous portion of the proceeds will benefit this organization and the brave, meaningful work they do,' regarding the donation to World Central Kitchen, which aids humanitarian efforts with meals.
