Realme launches C83 5G budget phone with 144Hz refresh rate in India

Realme launched the C83 5G, a new budget smartphone in its C-series, on Friday. The device features an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. It starts at ₹13,499 and will be available for sale from March 7.

Realme introduced the C83 5G on March 6, 2026, as a new addition to its budget-oriented C-series in India. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 144Hz adaptive refresh rate. It is equipped with a 7,000 mAh battery that supports 15W PD and 15W DCP charging.

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, the device offers 4 GB or 6 GB LPDDR4X RAM options and 64 GB or 128 GB storage variants. It supports virtual RAM expansion up to 18 GB and OTG storage up to 2TB.

The C83 5G runs on Realme UI 7.0, based on Android 16, right out of the box. Its camera setup includes a 13 MP main rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The phone will be available in Flame Green and Flame Blue colors.

Sales begin on March 7 through Flipkart, Realme's website, and major retail stores, starting at ₹13,499.
