The Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court is hearing the bail application of Armindo Pacula, the second suspect in the murder of Warrick Stock, known as DJ Warras. Pacula, a 25-year-old from Mozambique, is charged with conspiracy to commit murder, murder, and violating the Immigration Act. He was arrested last month in the Marathon informal settlement in Primrose, east of Johannesburg.
According to police, Pacula allegedly fired the fatal shots at DJ Warras outside the Zambezi building in Johannesburg's central business district last year. At the time, Warras's security firm was responsible for protecting the site. Pacula appeared in court alongside details of the first suspect, Victor Majola, who is said to have planned the killing. Majola was previously denied bail and is due back in court on Wednesday.
Investigators recovered a bag believed to have hidden the weapon at Pacula's residence, though the gun itself remains missing. They also found dreadlocks there, matching descriptions from the shooting scene, despite Pacula appearing without them in court. The state has indicated it will strongly contest Pacula's bail, citing the severity of the allegations.
