In the weight throw, five Rams men are in the top ten, while the women hold the top three spots. Both teams have four athletes in the top ten for shot put.
The men's 60-meter hurdles and high jump feature four Rams each in the top ten. Ndayiragije Shukurani leads the conference in high jump and ranks first in triple jump, positioning him as a potential top scorer and national qualifier candidate. Owen Langdon tops the 60-meter hurdles at 7.74 seconds, and Neya Jamison leads the women at 8.37 seconds; Jamison finished third in the 100-meter hurdles at the 2025 outdoor championships.
Kajsa Borrman holds the conference lead in women's weight throw by over two meters and ranks 11th nationally. Makayla Long leads in shot put at 16.85 meters. Other contenders include Tyler Colwell in the 60 meters at 6.73 seconds and Jamison Taylor in triple jump at 15.81 meters. The men's 4x400-meter relay set a school record of 3:09.01 earlier this year, with anchor Kenny Carpenter eyeing the individual 400 meters.
Several athletes, including Shukurani in triple and high jump, Long in shot put (needing 17 meters for nationals), and Kyle Bigley in weight throw (needing 22 meters), are close to NCAA qualifying marks for the championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
