With 34 years of career, Carbone serves as vice-president of the Instituto Histórico e Geográfico de São Paulo. The 'Memória Paulistana' series is part of her thematic projects, including 'Pátria Amada Brasil' and 'Patrimônio Histórico'. Her paintings engage with the city's infinite layers.
"São Paulo is a metropolis of infinite layers. Art has the power to pause time, allowing us to admire and respect what we have built and inherited," the artist states.
The exhibition runs Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the ground floor of the association, located on Avenida Brigadeiro Luís Antônio in the Bela Vista neighborhood. Entry is free, inviting visitors to reflect on São Paulo's urban evolution through art.
