IHA announces 2026 global innovation award honorees in Chicago

The International Housewares Association revealed the winners of its 2026 Global Innovation Awards at a gala during The Inspired Home Show in Chicago on March 11, 2026. Twelve products from various categories, including kitchenware and pet products, were honored for excellence in design. The awards recognize innovative solutions for home use, as stated by IHA president Derek Miller.

The 2026 Global Innovation Awards (gia) for Excellence in Product Design program honored twelve new products from both emerging and established companies. The announcement took place at the annual gia gala, part of The Inspired Home Show in Chicago.

The honorees span multiple categories:

- Kitchenware: Prepara’s Berry Pod.
- Luggage, Travel Goods + Accessories: Bluevua.com’s Ropot R/O Water Purifier for Travel.
- Pet Products: PawsPik™’s CeramiFlow Ceramic Battery-Operated Pet Water Fountain.
- Tabletop: Vacane Home Concepts, Inc.’s Bento Box Large.

Derek Miller, IHA president and CEO, commented, “We’re pleased to recognize these innovative brands and offer another platform to elevate outstanding new products for the home. We know that consumers today are craving innovative solutions, while also injecting connection, joy and wellness into their daily lives.”

Entries were evaluated by an independent panel of industry experts, including designers, retailers, and buyers from organizations such as Arizona State University, Artichoke, and Cook’s Warehouse. The panel first selected five finalists per category in February, followed by a second round earlier in the week to choose the global honorees.

The awarded products will be showcased in a special gia display in the Grand Concourse Lobby of the North Building and in New Product Showcases in the Buyers Clubs of the North and South Buildings at the show.
