The Morgan State men's and women's track and field teams concluded their regular-season indoor schedule at the Darius Dixon Invitational in Lynchburg, Virginia, on February 14, 2026. The Darius Dixon Invitational served as the capstone for Morgan State's indoor track and field regular season. Hosted in Lynchburg, Virginia, the meet featured competitive showings from both the men's and women's squads on its final day.
For the men, Doyin Smith secured third place in the 200m with a time of 21.85 seconds. Kennan Frisby followed with an eighth-place finish in the 500m, clocking 1:05.30. The 4000m Distance Medley Relay team—comprising Samuel Skinner, Cameron Stuckless, Kennan Frisby, and Caleb Mincey—claimed first place and set a new HBCU-best time of 10:03.39, narrowly defeating Navy's 10:03.76. The 4x400m relay team of A. Sims, M. Copeland, D. Smith, and M. Dorsey finished seventh in 3:16.91, qualifying for the IC4A championships.
In field events, Jeryco Sheppard achieved a personal best of 4.51 meters in the pole vault for second place, ranking fifth among HBCUs. Isaac Rankin placed seventh in the high jump at 1.96 meters, and KeSean-Jordan Rhooms took ninth with 1.91 meters.
The women's team also delivered solid results. Their 'A' 4x400m relay finished 14th in 3:54.04, while the 4000m Distance Medley Relay placed 10th in 12:44.50. Jatavia Robinson earned 15th in the 200m Invite with 25.07 seconds. Sophomore Aleah Alexander stood out in the field, clearing 1.59 meters for third place in the high jump.
These performances highlight the Bears' depth as they prepare for postseason competition.
