A Military Police officer was shot on Sunday (7) while intervening in a robbery attempt in the western zone of the state capital.
The off-duty officer reacted when two men on a motorcycle approached pedestrians on Avenida Duquesa de Goiás in the Real Parque neighborhood. He was taken to Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in Morumbi, where his health condition was not disclosed. A Metropolitan Civil Guard passing by arrested one suspect. The second fled, and the Military Police are searching the area. The case comes amid a series of robberies resulting in death recorded in São Paulo in recent weeks, according to police.
