The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has unveiled new itineraries for its superyacht Luminara, offering luxury cruises to Alaska and Asia during summer 2027. These voyages, spanning April to October, include 21 sailings focused on natural wonders and cultural sites. Guests can expect immersive experiences aboard the 452-passenger vessel.
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection announced on March 3, 2026, its summer 2027 itineraries for Luminara, the third superyacht in its fleet, which launched in July 2025. Featuring 226 suites with private ocean-view terraces, Luminara provides an all-inclusive premium experience, including customized accommodations, regional cuisine, and wellness treatments inspired by destinations.
In Alaska, Luminara's second season includes 15 voyages departing from Vancouver, British Columbia, and Whittier, Alaska. These itineraries, ranging from eight nights and longer, navigate the Inside Passage, showcasing glaciers, fjords, forested shorelines, and wildlife. Stops at less-visited ports like Wrangell and Klawock offer intimate encounters, including salmon runs and bear viewing. Enrichment programs feature wildlife talks, guided excursions, and expert lectures on Alaskan heritage and ecosystems. Immersive shore activities encompass privately chartered glacier flights, Zodiac boat rides to glaciers, and wilderness dining with views of fjords.
Culinary highlights include local seafood and Alaskan craft beer. A specific eight-day round-trip from Vancouver in June 2027 includes glacier watching in Tracy Arm Fjord and visits to Wrangell and Klawock. Another nine-night sailing from Vancouver to Whittier explores Canadian and Alaskan wilderness.
For Asia, four new itineraries introduce departures from Seoul, South Korea, as a turnaround port, and stops in Tianjin, China, for access to Beijing's Great Wall and Forbidden City. Northern Japan ports Otaru and Akita join the route for the first time, highlighting historical centers, canals, fishing industries, and local cuisine with overnight stays in Otaru. A 10-night voyage from Tokyo to Seoul features Mount Fuji, Jeju Island, Hiroshima's Peace Memorial Park, and Busan's temples. Additional experiences include food tours in Fukuoka, workshops in Uji, and tea ceremonies.
Two transcontinental crossings connect the regions. Onboard, the Ritz-Carlton Spa offers treatments like Glacier Stone Massages and Wild Alaskan Botanical Body Scrubs, alongside pools, dining, and a marina beach.
