Rocky, a dog victim of animal abuse in Saltillo, Coahuila, died on July 22 after several days in intensive care. Authorities detained two people connected to the case.
Rocky was dragged by his owner from a moving truck in the Villa San Miguel neighborhood. The Pets Care veterinary hospital confirmed the dog died at 9:05 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, due to irreversible acute spinal trauma.
Liliana 'N' was detained as the alleged perpetrator of the abuse. Jorge 'N' was also arrested by Criminal Investigation Agency officers for obstructing the investigation and issuing threats.
The Dignidad Animal A.C. organization filed a formal complaint and provided a veterinary medical report to strengthen the case. The Pets Care hospital called for empathy and reported suffering professional harassment during the animal's care.
