A provisional court ruling ordered that the 11-year-old son of lawyer Amilton Augusto da Silva Júnior move in with his father and businesswoman Val Marchiori.
The São Paulo justice system granted the custody change on Wednesday, July 15, following the father's request. The boy left his mother’s home, lawyer Karina de Paula Kufa, and now lives with Amilton and Val Marchiori while the case is reviewed.
Judge Eduardo Palma Pellegrinelli cited the criminal record of Thiago Brennand, Karina’s recent husband, who has been imprisoned since 2023 and faces serious charges. The ruling requires a psychological evaluation of the family and proof of the boy’s school enrollment in São Paulo.
Val Marchiori welcomed the decision and stated that her main concern is the child’s well-being. People close to the family said the boy is excited about his new routine with his father and her children.
