At the Junior World Championships in Narvik, Switzerland's ski team earned its second medal of the tournament with a bronze in the mixed team parallel competition. The quartet consisting of Dania Allenbach, Giuliano Fux, Sue Piller and Jack Spencer competed strongly throughout the knockout stages.
In the round of 16, the Swiss had no trouble overcoming Chile. They advanced past Italy in the quarter-finals thanks to superior times in the heats. The semi-final proved tougher, as they narrowly lost to Sweden, who went on to become the Junior World Champions. Finland took silver.
The bronze medal was decided in the small final against Austria, where both teams won two heats each. Switzerland prevailed with the better overall time. This achievement follows Sandro Manser's silver in the super-G on Monday, the 20-year-old from Schwyz securing the first Swiss medal of the championships.
