Tesla has introduced a new promotional financing rate for the Model Y Performance in the United States. Buyers can now access a 3.99 percent interest rate on loans up to 72 months. The company also raised lease prices for its entire Model 3 lineup.
The electric vehicle maker announced the change in a message sent to prospective buyers on Tuesday. This marks the first time the Performance trim of the Model Y has qualified for a reduced rate. Earlier this year other Model Y versions received lower offers including zero percent financing for the rear-wheel drive model.
The new rate still exceeds those available on standard Model Y variants. Customers trading in a gas vehicle qualify for 2,000 free Supercharging miles along with a 30-day trial of Full Self-Driving and Premium Connectivity.
At the same time Tesla increased monthly lease payments across the Model 3 range. The rear-wheel drive model now starts at 379 dollars per month after a 15.2 percent rise while the top Performance version reached 629 dollars.
