Total War: Warhammer III reveals Lords of the End Times DLC for summer 2026

Creative Assembly has announced the Lords of the End Times DLC for Total War: Warhammer III, set to release in summer 2026. The expansion introduces four new Legendary Lords led by Nagash, along with new units and a free End Times update. This content coincides with the Total War series' 25th anniversary.

Creative Assembly unveiled details of the Lords of the End Times DLC during the Total War series' 25th anniversary showcase. The DLC will add four new Legendary Lords from different races, headlined by the necromancer Nagash, known as the creator of necromancy and lord of the undead. Nagash will be accompanied by a new Blood Dragon Legendary Hero, Walach Harkon, and units such as Tomb Heralds, Morghast Archai, and the Khemric Titan.

The three other Legendary Lords remain unrevealed, though the announcement trailer featured Neferata, the first vampire and queen of Lahmia. It is unclear whether she will be one of the four lords or part of a separate release. The DLC includes lore-inspired objectives and sandbox campaigns, advancing the game's narrative toward the End Times, the cataclysmic conclusion to the Warhammer Fantasy Battles setting that led to Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Accompanying the DLC is a free End Times update for the Immortal Empires campaign, featuring revamped experiences with cataclysmic events, apocalyptic scenarios, and new customization options. Creative Assembly stated, “to crown this update, a new Legendary Lord will rise, ready to leave their mark on the cataclysm to come.” A trailer demonstrated the End Times' impact on the map.

The developer emphasized that this is not the final DLC for Total War: Warhammer III. Creative Assembly noted, “We’re in the early stages of developing our End Times content. What we’ve shared represents our current vision, but it may evolve as development continues - as always with the goal of delivering the best possible experience for all of you.” The showcase also mentioned Total War: Medieval III in development and a new title reveal at The Game Awards on 11 December 2025.
