Vancouver opens two new home-goods stores

Vancouver has seen the arrival of two new home-design retailers, Silk & Snow and Cozey, expanding options for local shoppers. Silk & Snow debuted its first British Columbia location last March, while Cozey unveiled a showroom on Robson Street this fall. These stores offer a range of bedding, sofas, and modular furniture.

In recent months, Metro Vancouver's retail scene has grown with the addition of Silk & Snow and Cozey, both specializing in home goods.

Silk & Snow, founded in Toronto in 2017 by a computer engineer and a pharmacist, initially focused on mattresses and bedding before broadening its offerings. The company opened its first B.C. store at 3003 Granville St. last March. Shoppers there can explore products such as the brand's bestselling Flax Linen Bedding. Contact: 604-235-5113.

Cozey, established in Montreal in 2020 by CEO Frédéric Aubé, who has a background in marketing and e-commerce, launched a 3,500-square-foot showroom at 1168 Robson St. this fall, building on a successful pop-up from last year. The store features the company's signature modular sofas and dining collections influenced by Japandi design, along with the new Ara Bed System.

Aubé described the Ara Bed System as "probably the best product that we’ve developed so far." He noted its flexibility: "It allows you to configure your frame, your baseboard, storage or non-storage, rounded, square, extended. You can choose your colour. It assembles in just a few minutes, with no tools."

Aubé started Cozey to address a gap in the market for furniture that prioritizes simplicity and customer experience while delivering good value. Contact: 1-833-521-1089.

These openings reflect ongoing developments in Vancouver's home-design landscape, providing residents with fresh choices in furnishings and bedding.
