Verónica Barbero and Rosa Martínez elected new coordinators of Movimiento Sumar

Movimiento Sumar has elected Verónica Barbero and Rosa Martínez as its new coordinators today at the party's third congress, with 95.92% support from delegates.

The congress, held in Madrid, marks the start of a new stage without Yolanda Díaz leading organizational tasks. Barbero, the party's spokesperson in Congress, and Martínez, secretary of state for social rights, replace Lara Hernández, who resigned on July 1.

The vote took place without alternative candidacies. Approved resolutions include the creation of a Territorial Council and a youth space within the party.

During the closing act, both leaders stressed the need for alliances with IU, Más Madrid and Comunes. "The Spain we want can only be built by the left, but it will not be done by a single organization", Barbero said.

Yolanda Díaz attended the closing event, where she received praise from attendees for her previous work.
