The Philadelphia 76ers acquired Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. They sent Paul George and four draft picks in the deal.
The Sixers traded Paul George along with two first-round picks in 2028 and 2031 and two second-round picks in 2028 and 2030.
In return they received Brown, the 2024 NBA Finals MVP. The move pairs him with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
ESPN's Brian Windhorst had advised teams seeking LeBron James to make major roster improvements first. The Sixers have reportedly expressed interest in signing James following the trade.
The projected starting lineup includes Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Brown, Dean Wade and Embiid. Brown has more combined regular-season and postseason wins than any player over the past decade.
