Aagaard says Örnsköldsvik still feels like home

Danish forward Mikkel Aagaard, who won the Swedish championship with Skellefteå this season, spoke about his ongoing connection to Örnsköldsvik and former club Modo.

Aagaard, who lives in Örnsköldsvik, described the town as home despite his move to Skellefteå.

"We love Örnsköldsvik. I would definitely say that it still feels like home," he told ÖA.

Last season he helped Skellefteå claim the SM gold after producing 43 points in 50 games. He has also represented Denmark at the Olympics and World Championships.

Aagaard followed Modo’s turbulent campaign in the SHL and compared it to his own first year with the club in 2020-21. He added that Modo remains a club he could consider rejoining in the future.
